Basecamp Yoga Beach House - Weligama

Everything was perfect, including VERY WELCOMING staff and magnificent location on the Welligama's bay. Location: the hotel was close to the centre, the jungle and a restaurant.

We had an amazing stay at this place and would gladly come back, enjoying a good breakfast along with tea or coffee.

The food here was incredible with a wide variety of dishes on the menu, and the stunning location made it easy to walk to all the places we wanted to visit.

The location was fantastic for exploring the area, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and nature.

The breakfast selection was really good, and you could enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee with it. ☕️.

my second stay in weligama was even better than the first! basecamp exceeded my expectations with their beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast, and amazing yoga deck. the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home and the location was perfect for surfing. can't wait to come back again!

The location of this yoga beach house is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the ocean and surf spot. the rooms are comfortable and have everything you need for a stay in Sri Lanka, including a universal adapter plug. the staff is lovely and goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience. They organize dinners and other events, and can provide tips about local activities such as surfing or renting a scooter. the common area is inviting, with a chill atmosphere and plenty of activities like slacklining and card games.

The mosquito situation can be a bit bothersome, especially during the afternoon yoga sessions.

Delicious breakfast and stunning ocean views! The breakfast here is simply the best, with generous portions and mouthwatering shakshuka. And oh, the view! You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the ocean and the bustling surf spot while savoring your meal. The location is also perfect, just a short walk from the town and other attractions. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to provide recommendations on surfing, scooter rentals, and more. The communal areas are great too, with a fun playground, comfy sofas, and even yoga pads for those who fancy a good stretch.

The only downside is the inconsistent Wi-Fi, which seems to be a common issue in the area. But fret not!

Convenient location with sea views. Comfortable rooms with AC and fan. Enjoyable family feast night with delicious home-cooked food. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great yoga classes and unique Kirtan experience. Would highly recommend.

Value for money was excellent, the room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. The location was fine with beautiful ocean views. The staff at Basecamp were cute and treated me like family.

The breakfast could have had more variety to make it even better.

The yoga classes were so rad, suitable for all levels. We felt Zen AF after seven days of practice. The hotel had free WiFi, perfect for sharing Insta-worthy pics with friends back home. Plus, it's just 27km away from the Galle cricket stadium, so we caught a game too. Basecamp, you rock!

The only thing we'd ask for is a livelier nightlife scene for us party-loving teens. A nearby club or bar would be the cherry on top of an already amazing stay!

The dedicated owners provide top-quality service, making your stay memorable. Basecamp is the ideal small hotel with a welcoming family atmosphere.

I always stay at this beach house, never regret it. Helpful staff helped with suitcases on first stay. Has Wi-Fi, Free parking, Luggage storage, Outdoor dining area, Airport shuttle. It suits me perfectly. Coming back for a romantic escape. No pets allowed. AC, non-smoking rooms.
